Tiles are used extensivelly in Tradtional and French Provincial styled kitchens. Use the same tiles throughout or design a border to accent the features of your new kitchen. Good quality tiles can safely be used behind gas or electric cooktops. We can recommend a tile supplier, or you can source the tiles yourself. Kellyville Kitchens will organise a tiler to install the splashback as part of our management of the project.
The only disadvantage to a tiled spalshback is the grout lines, which absorb the oils in the kitchen and eventually discolour over time. Using a dark grout can slow the discolouration process.
