A good looking and good value alternative to stone, laminates come in the widest range of colours and finishes.
Laminate benchtops are a hard wearing and very cost effective surface in a kitchen. They come in a huge variety of colours and finishes and are impact and scratch resistant. A new gloss range of laminates from Laminex Diamond Gloss to Polytec, Wilsonart and Nevamar look very close to the stone equivalent, at a quarter to a third of the price of stone or granite.
The laminate top is supplied cut to size and can be installed by the tradesperson installing your kitchen cabinetry.
Splashbacks and waterfall ends can also be installed, as well as breakfast bar overhangs. Integrated splashbacks up to 200mm make it easy to wipe down at the back of the bechtop for hard working kitchens.
Laminate benchtops can be supplied from 18mm to 38mm in thickness. Edge profiles can be full bullnose, stub nose or 90-degree rolled edges, making an attractive feature in any stylish kitchen.
